Meet the Board: Rebecca Rogg, President

  The love that YNPN Cleveland’s new President Rebecca Rogg has for nonprofits stems from her long history of involvement in the arts.  Originally from Cranberry Township, PA (near Pittsburgh), she was involved in theater and choir growing up.  She came to Cleveland to attend Baldwin Wallace University, where she completed her B.A. in Studio Art and minored in Spanish.  Now, Rebecca says that her favorite part of living in Cleveland is how much art and culture is just so close at hand, from museums in University Circle to the Metroparks surrounding the city.  Continue reading

Allison Retter, YNPN Cleveland Member

Meet Allison! YNPN Cleveland Member Allison Retter describes her interests by saying: “I love to run. I basically run, work, and sleep.”  Yet this hardly covers the scope of her engagement in Cleveland and its nonprofit community.  A native Clevelander, Allison grew up in South Euclid and currently lives in Shaker Square, and she’s spent her whole career working in local nonprofits.  In fact, she says the best part of YNPN Cleveland is “meeting other passionate young professionals with a love for our city and community.” Continue reading

Ben Gregg, YNPN Cleveland Member

  Meet Ben! Hailing from a family whose steel-hauling business has operated in Tremont for over a hundred years, YNPN Cleveland Member Benjamin Gregg has deep roots in Northeast Ohio, and he hopes to stay here for the foreseeable future.  Ben has a degree from St. Bonaventure University in Journalism and Mass Communication, but he has widely applied these skills for work in nonprofits in Cleveland and Chicago.  Over his career, professionally or as a volunteer, Ben has gained experience managing volunteers, programs, events, and grants, and he truly functions as “a jack of all trades.”     Continue reading

Brian Schultz, YNPN Cleveland Member

Meet Brian! As a Cleveland native and an avowed devotee to the city’s burgeoning foodie scene, YNPN Cleveland Member Brian Schultz knows this community well.  It is appropriate, then, that he currently serves as the Community Outreach Manager for the Foundation Center’s Cleveland office.  By offering trainings and other resources to nonprofit organizations throughout the Midwest, he helps communicate the Foundation Center’s mission to “connect people who want to change the world to the resources they need to succeed.”  Continue reading

Mallory McMaster, YNPN Cleveland Member

  Meet Mallory!  YNPN Cleveland Member Mallory McMaster has spent her entire professional career in the nonprofit sector. She says that she’s always looked for positions where she could serve others, and her engagement in numerous organizations in the Cleveland community makes this dedication clear. Mallory told us that the best part of her membership in YNPN Cleveland has been finding like-minded people outside her usual surroundings. Lauren Thomas Priest, YNPN Cleveland Member

Meet Lauren! YNPN Member and the Grants Coordinator at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. Lauren is originally from the Cleveland area and is happy to be back. She lives in Willoughby with her husband, Kenny, 4 year old daughter, Delilah, 2 month old son, Micah, and their guinea pigs, Pete and Mickey. YNPN Cleveland is making the leap! After six years as a local chapter with a strong relationship with our national organization, Young Nonprofit Professionals Network, we're officially affiliating with the network by participating in the chapter operating system.
