Meet our new Outreach Chair, Erin Zaranec
Position on the YNPN Board: Outreach Chair
How long have you been involved with YNPN: a few months now!
Where do you work: The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Northern Ohio, our office is in Independence, Ohio and we cover the entire upper-third of the state.
What is your favorite part of your job: I’m the Campaign Manager of our Student Series campaign, so I coordinate and implement school fundraisers. My favorite part of my job is hosting assemblies and meetings with students and seeing their eyes light up when they realize they can make a difference for kids with blood cancers.
Favorite thing about Cleveland: The access to the water! Whenever I’m stressed I’ll go sit at Lakewood Park, Edgewater or even the Wade Park Lagoon.
What is one thing that should be on everyone’s Cleveland bucket list: Stop by The Cleveland Flea! You'll meet the nicest people and see some of the city's most creative vendors... it always makes for a fun Saturday.
Best place you’ve ever traveled? I went on a journalism trip to Ghana and got to see the country from a local’s perspective. It was my first time leaving the country and an amazing experience.
What would a movie about your life be called and who would you want to play you? I'd probably want the title to be something like 'Be The Beyoncé of What You Do' or something about 'Living 1,000 Lives in Less than 30 years'. I'd probably want Lauren Conrad to play me... simply because I have loved her since the days of Laguna Beach and adore the fact that she's a self-starter and an all around #girlboss.
What is one book that everyone should read? Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult
What is on your summer playlist? EVERYTHING IS LOVE, The Carters (Can't wait to see Bey and Jay for the second time live this July!!)
